Roman's Weekly SQL Server Tip - How to fix broken Taskpad view in Enterprise Manager

When I work with databases in Enterprise Manager, I like using the Taskpad database view because it gives me a lot of details.  But once in a while something goes wrong I start getting the following error:

This is more-less a database specific error, it can happen on some, but not all databases on the same server. Once a database view gets “messed up“, the error sticks and doesn't go away. I do recall reading somewhere that it's a bug in Enterprise Manager. I discovered only recently that it's very easy to get rid of this error. First, change the view to something other than Taskpad, like Large Icons. Once you do that, you can switch back to Taskpad and the error should be gone. You'l have to do this for each affected database.
