BUI: Karaoke and the Crescent Moon

Being Valentine's day and all, Janell found ourselves out on the town. The evening started at Borders where I became certain I needed this book and this book. We then tried to get in the Sushi Japan (60 minute wait) and the Upstream (90+ minute) and finally landed at the Crescent Moon. I learned three things.

  1. No matter how well I know the lyrics for and the music of  “Who Can it be Now?,“ I should not try to perform it. :)
  2. When served from tap, Summit's Porter has a much more pronounced creamy finish.
  3. New Belgium's 1554 and Odell's 90 Schilling really are much better when served on tap. They are even better by the pitcher... which may account for the lack of quality in this posting.

What a wonderful evening with the woman I want to spend the every Valentine's day I have left with.

The Dark Backward

Oh my God, this movie is so bad! I've watched a lot of bad movies in my day. Way more than I can count. This is fetid. This film doesn't even deserve to be considered bad. It's an affront to really bad movies like "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes," "TerrorVision" and "Tromaville." This retched piece of crap is so horrid they couldn't even give it the MST3K treatment.

We're talking Jossie and the Pussycats horrid, folks.

But I can at least point out this zinger: Waitress: "Marty, I can't love a man with three hands!"

Oh, but Marty can love himself in sorts of new ways now with that extra appendage...

The only good thing about this movie? It's better than Gigli. Just barely, though.
