Georgia: Lose some, win some
Last night I wrote about how lots of people have been ripping on Georgia's State Superintendent of Schools for trying to drag the state's educational system back into pit that is the creationism vs. evolutionism debate.
Not all the law makers in Geogria live in caves (or convents) apparently though. Yesterday, the state's regulators advanced at bill (HB 645) that allows retailers to sell high-gravity (e.g., high alcohol content) products. Right now, the break point is at 6% ABV.
But its not about the alcohol, its about having a greater variety of ales to choose from. If this bill passes, Georgian's will be able to enjoy truly World Class Beers.
Bravo, Georgia, welcome to the 21st century.
